Shipping costs when sending to us

The shipping cost when you send products to Somaé will be borne by the customer. We recommend using a trackable shipping method to prevent loss or damage during transit.

Shipping deadline

Please aim to ship within 1 week after applying for blade sharpening. If you are ready, there is no problem sending it before the deadline.

Time until return

The estimated time until return after the product arrives at our company is approximately 2 weeks. During long holidays or busy seasons, it may take longer than usual.

Return shipping method and cost

Sharpened products will be returned by Nekopos or courier service.
Return shipping costs vary depending on the shipping method and destination.

1. Nekopos

Shipping cost: 220 yen (tax included, uniform nationwide)

*If the total amount of products purchased at the same time is 3,980 yen (tax included) or more, shipping is free.
*If shipping by Nekopos is difficult due to the number or size of items, we will switch to courier service.

2. Courier Service

Shipping cost:

• Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu: 770 yen (tax included)
• Hokkaido, Okinawa: 1,100 yen (tax included)

*If the total amount of products purchased at the same time is 3,980 yen (tax included) or more, shipping is free.

However, depending on the size and number of items, we may change to a shipping method that can deliver them safely.

If using Nekopos

Nekopos delivers to your mailbox. You do not need to be home to receive it, and shipping costs are lower than courier service.
However, there are risks such as rain, humidity, theft from mailboxes, and delivery delays. We may not be able to compensate for loss, theft, or damage that occurs after delivery is completed.
For those who want to receive their valuable blades more safely, we recommend courier service.

Ordering Maintenance Supplies

You can purchase blade oil and carnauba wax along with your blade sharpening request.
The items will be shipped with your sharpened products when they are returned to you.

Blade Oil (for blade maintenance)

This maintenance oil prevents rust on blades and keeps them in good condition. Recommended for those who want to perform maintenance at home.

Carnauba Wax (for wooden handle maintenance)

This wax prevents wooden handles from drying out and getting dirty, preserving the natural look of the wood. Recommended for those who want to maintain their handles.

Name Engraving Service Available with Blade Sharpening

You can add name engraving to Somaé blade products along with blade sharpening.
