In July, why not come and experience Somaé's tools in Tokyo?

浅郷剛志

Somaé will be exhibiting at "HandMade In Japan Fes’ 2026" to be held at Tokyo Big Sight on Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, July 12, 2026.

At the venue, you can actually pick up the minimal corebacca knife and try out its grip, size, and sharpness.

Please come and experience the unique grain and texture of the wood, and the joy of using our tools, which cannot be fully conveyed through photos on our online store.

Two days to see, touch, and test the sharpness.

Somaé's tools are designed to be easily used in the kitchen every day.

However, the size and weight of a knife, and the feel of the handle in your hand, can be difficult to convey through photos and numbers alone.

At the venue, you can actually use the minimal corebacca knife and try cutting various ingredients.

"Is it really easy to use despite its small size?"
"How does it differ from the knife I usually use?"
"Which handle suits my hand best?"

Feel free to consult with Somaé staff directly about any concerns you may have.

Small, yet you'll find yourself reaching for it all the time.

The centerpiece of this event is the minimal corebacca knife, which raised over 37 million yen in crowdfunding.

Despite being a compact knife with a blade length of 9.5 cm, it can be used for various daily cooking tasks such as cutting fruits, vegetables, meat, and fish.

When cutting fruit for breakfast.
When preparing side dishes for lunchboxes.
When you just want to cut a small amount of garnishes or vegetables for dinner.

It's always ready to be picked up when you need it.

This small knife will naturally see more use, even in situations where a large knife isn't necessary.

We will have a variety of corebacca knives at the venue, with different wood types and finishes.

You can compare them in person and choose the one that suits your hand and lifestyle.

Collaboration Model with Yanagisawa Forestry

At this event, we will be selling a collaboration model of corebacca with a handle made from wood from Yanagisawa Forestry.

Wood grown in the forest, transformed by human hands into a tool for daily use in the kitchen.

The unique grain and color of each piece are also part of the charm of natural wood.

Please come and see this special corebacca that can only be found at the HandMade In Japan Fes’ 2026 venue.

*Limited quantities are available. Please note that items may sell out.

A place where you can actually touch Somaé's tools.

Our online store uses photos and text to convey the shape and usage of our tools.

However, there are things you can only truly understand by experiencing them firsthand, such as the feel of the wood, the lightness in your hand, and the sensation of using a blade.

Whether you're already a Somaé tool user or discovering us for the first time, please feel free to stop by our booth.

We also offer advice on knife care, free sharpening services, and tips for long-term use.
